Role
On January 24, 2022, Godwin Chan ran for Mayor. The race needed a digital home that felt personal, credible, and easy to act on: from meeting the candidate to signing up, volunteering, or donating.
We delivered website design, creative branding, and campaign strategy so residents could understand the leadership story quickly. The brand led with name recognition and a clear tagline: visionary and inclusive leadership. Every section supported that promise and moved people toward action.
We structured navigation around the decisions that matter in a mayoral race: Home, Meet Godwin, Action Plan, Achievements, and Take Action. The hero opened with “It’s time…” then a maroon brand block with ELECT, the CHAN name lockup, and Mayor as the office sought.
Primary actions stayed clear under Get Involved: Sign up, Volunteer, and Donate. Secondary paths opened the action plan and achievements without crowding the first impression, so first-time visitors and returning supporters both knew where to go.
We built the brand around deep maroon, crisp white type, and a red accent for ELECT and the leadership tagline. Community imagery of hands joining together reinforced unity without turning the page into noise. The system reads as serious enough for city leadership and human enough for neighbourhood trust.
We set the creative branding voice around visionary and inclusive leadership, then carried that identity into every section: meet the candidate, action plan, achievements, and get involved. The CHAN name lockup was the hero-level signal so the brand could not be mistaken for a generic campaign template.
Campaign strategy kept the public surface focused. Messaging, photography, and conversion paths worked as one funnel: recognize Godwin, believe the leadership story, then choose a concrete way to help before election day.

We kept layouts fully responsive so door-knocking, social shares, and last-minute research all met the same clarity. Large name treatment, short leadership copy, and equal-weight action buttons stayed readable on small screens without squeezing the brand block that made CHAN unmistakable.
That mobile-first discipline mattered most near January 24, when many residents decide in minutes, not hours, and need a site that feels intentional, not improvised.
